A word about Jai Samand Sanctuary
Located besides the man made lake, the Jai Samand Sanctuary was established
in the year 1957. The natural environs of the sanctuary provide shelter to
countless wild species including sloth bear, leopard, chital, chinkara, wild
boar and a number of breeding birds like darter, open bill stork, pond
heron, little cormorant and Indian shag. The lake is the best place to view
crocodiles and also a number of fish.
